What We Believe........................................................................................................................................
We believe we are all wired to love and be
loved by God, to be with others who love God, and to influence others
with God's love. We know we live in a busy world. Life has many
responsibilities and offers us many choices. Work, family, activities,
and opportunities abound and compete for our time attention and
resources. Because of this, we have adopted a simple strategy - but not
an easy one. We encourage everyone to prioritize three things every
week:
Priority #1 - Celebrate God's love together with the whole church.
We affirm
the need for all followers of Jesus to gather weekly as a large group
to celebrate what God is doing among us. Together we learn more about
God's love for us as well have opportunity to express our love for God
through our worship.
Priority #2 - Meet with a life group for mutual encouragement and accountability. We
affirm the need for all followers of Jesus to be a part of a smaller
"Life Group" that meets regularly where friendship, accountability, and
confidentiality are nurtured for the purpose of 1) encouraging and
caring for one another; 2) processing and exploring ways to incorporate
the things we are learning into our everyday life; and 3) to assist one
another in influencing others who don't yet know Jesus with God's love.
Priority #3 - Influence someone with God's love. We affirm
the need for all followers of Jesus to be regularly using their
spiritual gifts and resources in service to others - especially those
who are less fortunate and need Jesus.
Simple?
Yes. Easy? No. Why? Because we're helping people learn to say "No" to
things that are crowding out the more important things that are
necessary for their spiritual growth and vitality.
